Goddard's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Portales Rams. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won nine in a row.

Juliet Gallegos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Marisa Crawford was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Goddard's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Portales, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Goddard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against Lovington on the 1st. As for Portales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-5 defeat against Artesia on the 1st.
