Softball Recap: Whitehall Norse vs. Osseo-Fairchild Thunder
Whitehall fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Osseo-Fairchild on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The Norse were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Carson Coburn and Taylor Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Coburn went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Johnson went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Coburn has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlow Foss, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
