Clear Lake came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by  a  13-6 margin over the Middletown Mustangs. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Jesse Hayes was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  triple. Those  four  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jace Beard, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Clear Lake was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .308 or higher in ten consecutive  contests.
Clear Lake's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-5. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Middletown, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15-1 record  this season.
 Clear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middletown, they will venture away from home to  take on Cloverdale  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
