Football Recap: Ingleside Mustangs vs. Cuero Gobblers

Ingleside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 40-14 to the Cuero Gobblers. The Mustangs lost against the Gobblers in their previous head to head back in November of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-0 score last time.

Sawyer Chalk made five total tackles. Isaac Freeman was his top target, making 12 total tackles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cuero to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayce Guajardo, who threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes. Walker Dietze was another key pass catcher, picking up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Ingleside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cuero, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
