Football Recap: West Stokes Comes Up Short

West Stokes extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They fell 24-17 to the Forbush Falcons. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.

As for Forbush, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points over those games.

Leading Forbush to victory were Keanu Escalante and Tyler Winters. Escalante gained 105 total yards and a touchdown, while Winters rushed for 72 yards. Kazir Wright was in the mix as well, providing the Falcons with one score.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Stokes is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount Airy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Forbush will take on rival Surry Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
