Basketball Game Preview: Page Pirates vs. Bishop McGuinness Villains

The Page Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Bishop McGuinness Villains at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Page lost 70-50 to Forsyth Country Day on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Furies are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Bishop McGuinness put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Western Alamance 51-34. The 51-point effort marked the Villains' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

This is the second loss in a row for Page and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Bishop McGuinness, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
