Volleyball Recap: Sharon Beats Farrell for Their Fifth Straight Win

Sharon had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Farrell Steelers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sharon never let Farrell on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 26-24.

Sharon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dani Currie out in front who had seven aces, six digs, and five kills. That's the most aces Currie has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emmalie Yobe, who had four digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Sharon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Sharon's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Farrell, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sharon will take on Rocky Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farrell, they will challenge Wilmington at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
