Preview: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. Hatton Hornets
Lawrence County has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Hatton Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Lawrence County came up short against West Point and fell 65-54.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Zander Keepers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with five. Another player making a difference was Jackson Smith, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Hatton had to settle for a 53-51 defeat against Rogers on Saturday. Hatton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lawrence County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Hatton, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-4.
Lawrence County strolled past Hatton when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 68-52. Will Lawrence County repeat their success, or does Hatton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
