Riley Mares gave up the fewest walks he has since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
