Volleyball Recap: Eufaula Triumphs

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Eufaula had just enough and edged out Luverne 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Eufaula has posted since September 15th.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (60-53) Eufaula actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 12-25, 15-11.

The victory got Eufaula back to even at 8-8. As for Luverne, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eufaula will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Carroll at 5:15 p.m. on October 7. As for Luverne, they will host Pike Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
