Basketball Game Preview: Orland Trojans vs. Shasta Wolves

The Orland Trojans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Shasta Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Orland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Las Plumas by the margin of a single free throw, 82-81.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Shasta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Eureka by a score of 57-45 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Shasta's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Orland, they have also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Orland came out on top in a nail-biter against Shasta when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 52-49. Will Orland repeat their success, or does Shasta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
