Basketball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were outmatched by the Chelan Mountain Goats and fell 75-42. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Mountain Goats are ranked 50th).

Bridgeport's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Chelan, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridgeport has already played their next contest (against Omak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chelan will take on Lake Roosevelt at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Roosevelt will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Chelan surely won't give up without a fight.
