There's no place like home for California, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Los Altos Conquerors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That looming 3-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Condors yet this season.

California had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Los Altos lost, don't look at Christopher Talavera. Despite the final result, he had 26 digs. Talavera is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

The win got California back to even at 4-4. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

California didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Notre Dame (SO) on the 27th. As for Los Altos, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Norwalk on the 27th.
