Volleyball Game Preview: Columbine Rebels vs. Golden Demons + How To Watch

The Columbine Rebels will venture away from home to take on the Golden Demons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Golden took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbine, who comes in off a win.

Columbine barely beat Bear Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rebels put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Columbine's got stronger as the match went on, holding Bear Creek to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Golden unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Chatfield.

While Golden ultimately came up short, they really made Chatfield work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 22-25, 28-26.

Columbine's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Golden, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Columbine couldn't quite get it done against Golden when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
