Andrew is a perfect 3-0 against Illiana Christian since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Thunderbolts will challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Andrew 3.7, Illiana Christian 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Andrew is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Lockport, who was ranked 12th at the time (Andrew was ranked 25th). The Thunderbolts were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Porters on Thursday. The game was the first time the Thunderbolts have beaten the Porters on their field since May 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, Illiana Christian and Munster finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

The win made it two in a row for Andrew and bumps their season record up to 22-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. With that draw, Illiana Christian's record moves to 18-4-1.

Everything went Andrew's way against Illiana Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Andrew made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbolts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
