Basketball Recap: Hanover's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hanover couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elyria Christian on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (56), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Braylon Meyn, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Meyn a new career-high in steals (six). Camron Jueneman was another key player, putting up nine points.

With the loss, Hanover broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-7. As for Elyria Christian, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-4-1.

Hanover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elyria Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-69 defeat against Cunningham on the 14th.
