Volleyball Recap: Ainsworth Comes Up Short

Ainsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Silver Lake Mustangs. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-21 in the first set.

Ainsworth started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-10, 25-16.

Ainsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Silver Lake, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Ainsworth will head out to take on Ord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silver Lake, they will challenge Grand Island Lutheran on Tuesday.
