West Craven waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Havelock Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

West Craven had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Havelock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kira Peak had 14 digs and two aces.

West Craven's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Havelock, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

West Craven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against New Bern on the 26th. As for Havelock, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Richlands on the 26th.
