 The Hot Springs Tigers will be playing at home against the Socorro Warriors at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Hot Springs will be strutting in after a  victory while Socorro will be coming in after a  loss.
 Hot Springs had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Mesilla Valley Christian School by a score of  5-1  on Tuesday.
  Hunter Montoya and  Tristan Polanco were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Montoya   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Polanco   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. At the plate,  Montoya  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4, while  Polanco  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jacob Felts, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Socorro suffered a  rough 15-5 defeat at the hands of Menaul/Oak Grove  on Wednesday. Socorro has struggled against Menaul/Oak Grove recently, as their  match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Socorro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  David Gutierrez, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3. Gutierrez has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 Hot Springs' win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-7. As for Socorro, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
 Hot Springs took their  victory against Socorro  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  14-2. Will Hot Springs repeat their success,  or does  Socorro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
