Volleyball Game Preview: Peachtree Ridge Lions vs. North Gwinnett Bulldogs

Peachtree Ridge hasn't had much luck against North Gwinnett recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Peachtree Ridge came up short against Brookwood and fell 2-0.

Despite the loss, Peachtree Ridge had strong showings from Chloe Neal, who had ten digs and three assists, and Catalina Bianchi Ramos, who had seven digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, North Gwinnett beat Parkview 2-0 on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While North Gwinnett won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Peachtree Ridge better keep an eye on Kalli Yoo. She was instrumental in North Gwinnett's win, getting 11 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Yoo has posted over her last 14 matchups.

North Gwinnett's record is now 19-17. As for Peachtree Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Peachtree Ridge came up short against North Gwinnett when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
