Football Recap: Blacksburg Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chesnee, Blacksburg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 14-6 win over the Landrum Cardinals. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 28-6 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Landrum still got an impressive performance from Ty Foster, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD.

Blacksburg's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Landrum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Blacksburg and Landrum will both be playing Clinton the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
