Barnesville hit Crookston with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Dexter Janek was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Crookston's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
