Volleyball Game Preview: Perquimans Pirates vs. Gates County Red Barons

Perquimans has won 15 straight games at home, while Gates County has won 15 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Pirates will host the Red Barons at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Perquimans got the win against Eno River Academy by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Perquimans was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Gates County was able to grind out a solid win over East Wake Academy on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Gates County's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Perquimans, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.

Perquimans took their victory against Gates County in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Barons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
