Sherman has gone 7-2 against Denison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sherman Bearcats will take on the Denison Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Sherman will be strutting in after a victory while Denison will be coming in after a loss.

Sherman barely beat Anna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sherman was the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Anna on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bearcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Denison has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 17. They fell 2-0 to Greenville on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Lions are ranked 280th).

With the win, Sherman broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11. As for Denison, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Sherman came out on top in a nail-biter against Denison when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sherman since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
