Recap: Dadeville Tigers vs. Thomasville Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dadeville Tigers can now relate to. They were beaten by Thomasville 28-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Dadeville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Thomasville is ranked 87th).
Dadeville's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-1 Randolph County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.5% over those games). As for Thomasville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Dadeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thomasville will head out on the road to face off against Straughn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Straughn is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
