Softball Recap: Plainfield North Comes Up Short

Plainfield North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln-Way Central Knights. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Plainfield North will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield North will need to watch out since Lincoln-Way East has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they will face off against Minooka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
