Basketball Recap: Desert Hills Takes a Loss

Desert Hills lost against Snow Canyon back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Desert Hills Thunder were beaten by the Snow Canyon Warriors 68-32. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Warriors are ranked fourth).

This is the second loss in a row for Desert Hills and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Snow Canyon, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Desert Hills will square off against Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Hills is facing Crimson Cliffs at the right time seeing as Crimson Cliffs is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Snow Canyon, they will face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Snow Canyon surely won't give up without a fight.
