Softball Recap: Phoebus Comes Up Short

Phoebus fell victim to Gloucester and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to the Dukes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dukes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 on Tuesday.

Phoebus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Gloucester, their win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0.

Coming up, Phoebus will challenge Menchville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gloucester, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
