Basketball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Achille

Achille entered their tilt with Bennington on Monday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over the Bennington Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 28-23 back in December of 2024.

Achille pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Bennington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Achille will take on Calvin at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Achille is facing Calvin at the right time seeing as Calvin is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Bennington, they will venture away from home to square off against Mill Creek at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. Bennington will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Mill Creek will have lost six straight heading into Tuesday's game.
