Recap: Temple City Rams vs. La Canada Spartans

After flying high against the Monrovia Wildcats last Wednesday, the Temple City Rams came back down to earth. Temple City had to suffer through a rough 87-59 loss at the hands of La Canada. Temple City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Justin Chung and Brayden Kwan certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Chung scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Kwan scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Chung scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elkan Lai, who scored eight points.

Temple City has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for La Canada, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple City will square off against Blair at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for La Canada, they will head out on the road to face off against South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Pasadena knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 contests -- so hopefully La Canada likes a good challenge.
