Soccer Game Preview: Deer Valley vs. Antioch

Deer Valley is 0-8-2 against Antioch since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Deer Valley Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Antioch Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Deer Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Back in December of 2024, Deer Valley came up short against Acalanes and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 820th, while the Dons are ranked 132nd).

Deer Valley's goal came courtesy of Adel Khan, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antioch). They put the hurt on Newark Memorial with a sharp 5-1 win on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Deer Valley now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Antioch, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5-3.
