Basketball Recap: Kody Kimball Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Piscataquis

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Schenck, Dexter was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Piscataquis Pirates by a score of 57-49. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-30 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dexter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kody Kimball, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 27 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 27 points gave Kimball a new career-high. Bryce Cooper was another key player, going 6 of 14 en route to 12 points in addition to six assists and six steals.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Piscataquis, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter has already played their next match (against Penobscot Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Piscataquis has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Greenville.
