Softball Recap: La Salle Academy Extends Winning Streak to 32

La Salle Academy strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Cranston West Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2024.

Hailey Vigneau made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Phoenyx Silva was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Diana Hall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

La Salle Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .381 or higher in five consecutive games.

La Salle Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cranston West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
