Bethany suffers seventh straight loss at home

Recap: Bethany Wolves vs. Carver Yellowjackets

The Bethany Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Carver, falling 86-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Bethany has suffered since December 12, 2023.

Carver found their leader in underclassman Jeremiah Glaspie, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glaspie has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaqarius Houston, who scored seven points along with eight assists and seven steals.

Bethany's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-17. As for Carver, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Bethany won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Clover Garden School at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Clover Garden School is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Carver, they will be playing at home against Bishop McGuinness at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McGuinness presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carver in North Carolina (Bishop McGuinness is ranked 193rd, while Carver is ranked 537th).
