Blevins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette County Cougars. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Hornets' highest-scoring match to date.

Blevins' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lafayette County, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blevins will square off against Nevada at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette County, they will take on Bradley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
