Volleyball Recap: Oldenburg Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Oldenburg Academy entered their tilt with Shakamak on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lakers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Twisters also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Oldenburg Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Lillian Vanderpohl had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs and seven assists. Those 19 digs gave her a new career-high. Megan Rees also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Oldenburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Shakamak, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-4.

Oldenburg Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Crothersville on the 13th. As for Shakamak, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Southwestern on the 13th.
