Baseball Game Preview: Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars vs. Del Norte Knights

Atrisco Heritage Academy has gone 8-2 against Del Norte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Jaguars will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 10:00 a.m. Atrisco Heritage Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Del Norte will be coming in after a loss.

Atrisco Heritage Academy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against West Mesa on Friday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 16-6 win. The contest marked the Jaguars' most dominant victory of the season.

Estevan Flores tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Ignacio Quintana was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Samuel Gonzalez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.
