Softball Recap: Mathis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mathis can now relate to. They lost 9-0 to London on Thursday. Mathis was red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but London's pitchers proved too tough.

Mathis moved to 16-11-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for London, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

While Mathis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
