Softball Recap: Nightingale-Bamford Drops Season-High Score on Chapin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nightingale-Bamford). They blew past Chapin 25-11 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Nighthawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Nightingale-Bamford got a massive performance out of Grace Majoros, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Majoros also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kate Buckhurst was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nightingale-Bamford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the win, Nightingale-Bamford broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Chapin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Nightingale-Bamford is taking a road trip to take on Brearley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapin, they will face off against St. Ann's at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
