After a string of ten wins, Amarillo's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frenship Tigers. The Sandies were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Tigers' pitchers proved too tough.

Amarillo's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-1. As for Frenship, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Amarillo will be playing at home against Lubbock-Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frenship, they will take on San Angelo Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
