Basketball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Delta can now relate to. They were dealt a 71-33 defeat at the hands of the Grantsville Cowboys on Friday. The Rabbits have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Grantsville had a senior duo take command as Baylee Lowder dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds and Avery Allred went 8-for-11 en route to 19 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowder has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kodee Williams, who posted five points and five steals.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Grantsville, their victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grantsville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Judge Memorial Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on February 24th. Grantsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Judge Memorial Catholic likes a good challenge.
