Volleyball Game Preview: The O'Neal School Falcons vs. Freedom Christian Academy Patriots

The O'Neal School Falcons will take on the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

The O'Neal School won the last time they faced Fayetteville Academy and Laura Shulze did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons blew past the Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Shulze, who had 12 aces, five kills, and four digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: The O'Neal School took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7, 25-11.

The O'Neal School's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lily Stanley, who had 17 assists and four aces, and Elli Hood, who had eight kills and three aces. That's the most kills Hood has posted over her last six matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: The O'Neal School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 36 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Freedom Christian Academy got the win against Berean Baptist Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Freedom Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Freedom Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for The O'Neal School, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
