Basketball Recap: Owen Jackson and Josh Hutchinson Secure Win for Oswego

Oswego hadn't done well against Uniontown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Oswego Indians managed a 53-48 win over the Uniontown Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Oswego was led to victory by Josh Hutchinson and Owen Jackson. Hutchinson almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds, while Jackson went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points along with five boards and three blocks. Hutchinson has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Demitri Williamson, who posted five points and seven boards.

Oswego's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Uniontown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego will head out to square off against Southern Coffey County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Uniontown, they will face off against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
