Football Recap: Adam Mckinley's Menacing Defense Leads Sullivan over Edgewood

If Edgewood wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sullivan, they should've done a better job of containing Clark French. The Golden Arrows walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Mustangs on Friday for which the team can thank French, who rushed for 197 yards and one TD while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles.

Sullivan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Adam McKinley, Xander Freels, Zane Catlin, and Ethan Garrett picked up one apiece.

Despite the loss, Edgewood still got an impressive performance from Braxton Carpenter, who rushed for 123 yards. Evan Enghauser got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Sullivan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Edgewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Sullivan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-20 win against Park Tudor on the 10th. As for Edgewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 35-7 loss against Northview on the 10th.
