Softball Game Preview: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. Gulfport Admirals

The Harrison Central Red Rebels will take on the Gulfport Admirals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Harrison Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against West Harrison on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 9-7. The loss continues a trend for the Red Rebels in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

Harrison Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabrielle Smith, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Gulfport unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of D'Iberville.

Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Gulfport, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
