Worcester lost against Edmeston Central back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Worcester Wolverines might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Edmeston Central Panthers an easy 61-40 win. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Worcester's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Edmeston Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Worcester will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sharon Springs Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Edmeston Central and Fort Plain will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Edmeston Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Fort Plain likes a good challenge.
