Softball Recap: St. Joseph Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

St. Joseph entered their tilt with San Antonio Christian on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

St. Joseph got a massive performance out of Valery Villareal, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Villareal a new career-high. Jazmyn Gamez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

St. Joseph always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Antonio Christian only posted an OBP of .250.

St. Joseph's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for San Antonio Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph will host Bishop at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. San Antonio Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
