Basketball Recap: Fulton Science Academy Comes Up Short

Fulton Science Academy lost against Dominion Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fulton Science Academy Mustangs were outmatched by the Dominion Christian Knights and fell 58-8. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-3.

Dominion Christian was led to victory by Elizabeth Johnson and Emory Maiyer. Johnson went 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points and four steals, while Maiyer went 7 for 11 en route to 14 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Maiyer has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexa Vreken, who posted four points.

Fulton Science Academy dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Dominion Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Fulton Science Academy has already played their next game (against Atlanta Jewish Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dominion Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against The Grace Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. Dominion Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
