Peabody waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They wrapped up 2024 with a 67-52 win over the Acadiana Rams. Given the Warhorses' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Rams are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Peabody's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Acadiana, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peabody will face off against Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Acadiana, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against David Thibodaux at 7:00 p.m.
