Baseball Recap: Baldwin County Takes a Loss

Baldwin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairhope Pirates. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Baldwin County's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Fairhope, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Baldwin County will host McGill-Toolen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairhope, they will take on Daphne at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 4.1, the Trojans 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
